InfoFlo Print recently released an update designed to improve production tracking and scheduling for print shops. With this update, you can now monitor your jobs more effectively and manage machines with greater flexibility. Specifically, the update introduces two key improvements: enhanced Time Log Reports and advanced Machine Scheduling capabilities. As a result, print shops gain clearer insight into production progress and can adapt quickly when priorities change.

Enhanced Time Log Report: Track Production in Detail

The Time Log Report now provides detailed information about each production log, which makes it easier for print shop managers and staff to analyze workflow.

With the updated Time Log Report, you can now see:

  • The production status recorded when the log was created

  • The start date of the logged work

  • The total duration accumulated for that entry

Previously, the report lacked these critical details, making it difficult to analyze production speed or identify delays. Now, you can quickly evaluate workflow efficiency and spot bottlenecks before they affect delivery schedules.

How InfoFlo Print Groups Time Logs

InfoFlo Print organizes time logs to provide a clear picture of production across different stages. Logs are grouped by:

  • Order

  • User

  • Production Status

Moreover, if a production stage spans multiple days, the report shows the oldest date as the start date and sums the total hours worked. For example, if a “Hand Work” stage begins on Monday and continues through Tuesday, Monday’s date appears as the start, and both days’ hours are totaled.

This method keeps your reports clean and easy to read, helping you identify which tasks require more attention or resources.

Machine Scheduling Enhancements: Reassign Jobs with Ease

The Production Calendar now offers greater visibility and flexibility for managing your print shop machines. You can instantly see which machine a job is assigned to, along with its scheduled date and time. Consequently, you can make adjustments confidently and accurately.

How to Reassign a Scheduled Job

Reassigning a job to a different machine is simple:

  • Open the job in the Production Calendar

  • Click Schedule Machine

  • Review the current schedule and assigned machine

  • Select a new machine

  • Choose the new date and time on the calendar

The system updates immediately, and refreshing the page confirms the changes. This functionality allows your team to adapt quickly when machines become unavailable or priorities shift.

One Machine per Job Rule

InfoFlo Print ensures that each job occupies only one machine at a time. When you move a job to a new machine, the previous assignment clears automatically. This rule prevents scheduling conflicts and keeps your production organized.

Mailing Template Development: Coming Soon

Additionally, InfoFlo Print has started working on a new Mailing Job Template. The team has set up the initial layout, which forms the foundation for a more efficient mailing workflow in future updates.

Conclusion: Smarter Production Management

These InfoFlo Print updates deliver:

  • More detailed and accurate time log reporting

  • Flexible machine reassignment for smooth workflow adjustments

  • Early progress on an upcoming mailing workflow

Overall, print shops can now streamline operations, improve visibility into production processes, and maintain better control over workflow. By leveraging these enhancements, your team can manage jobs more efficiently and reduce potential delays.
