Managing multiple production orders can be time-consuming, especially when you need to track line items and generate PDFs. The Create Production Layout feature simplifies this process, allowing you to efficiently select orders, update statuses, and create PDF dockets—all from the production page.
Enable the Create Production Layout Feature
Before using this feature, you must enable it in your system settings:

Navigate to Settings.

Search for Create Production Layout.

Check the box next to the feature.

Click Save.
Once enabled, a Layout Cursor button will appear at the top of your production page, giving you quick access to the layout creation tool.
Access the Layout Creation Page
To begin creating production layouts:

Go to the Productions page.

Click the Layout Cursor button.

You will be redirected to the Create Layout page, where you can search for orders that are still in production and not yet completed.
The search supports both order numbers with or without dashes, making it easy to find the orders you need.
Select Orders and Line Items
Once on the layout page:

Click the orders you want to include.

The system will display all selected orders along with their line items.

If you accidentally select an order, click the trash icon to remove it.
This flexible selection ensures that only the relevant orders are included in your production layout.
Submit Layouts and Generate PDFs
After selecting your orders:

Optionally, choose a new status for the selected orders after submission (e.g., “Inserting”).

Click Submit.

Confirm your submission in the prompt that appears.
Note: If it’s your first time using the feature, a pop-up blocker warning may appear. Allow multiple windows to open, as each selected order will generate its own PDF docket.
Once submitted, a confirmation message will indicate that all layouts were successfully created. You can then click Create New Layout to start the process again.
