How to Use the Create Layout Feature in Print MIS Software

Managing multiple print jobs can get complicated—especially when you’re handling high-volume orders and tight deadlines. The Create Layout feature in your Print MIS software helps simplify this by allowing you to view, group, and update multiple production jobs at once.

This guide walks you through how to enable and use the feature to optimize your production workflow.

Step 1: Enable the Create Layout Feature

Before using it, you’ll need to activate the feature in your settings:

  1. Click Settings from the left-hand menu.

  2. In the search bar at the top, type “Create Pro”.

  3. Scroll down to Enable Create Production Layout.

  4. Check the box and click Save.

️ Step 2: Access the Layout Builder

  1. Click on Production from the left-hand menu.

  2. Select Create Layout.

This will open a new interface where you can view and manage multiple job tickets or work orders at once.

Step 3: Select Multiple Job Tickets

You can either:

  • Type an order number into the input box, or

  • Scroll and select from the list of available open jobs in production.

Once selected, the line items associated with each job will be displayed.

️ Step 4: Remove Jobs If Needed

If you accidentally select a job, click the trash can icon next to it to remove it from the layout.

Step 5: Update Job Statuses (Optional)

Before clicking Submit, you can update the job status of all selected orders:

  1. Choose a status from the dropdown menu (e.g., “On Press”).

  2. Click Submit to apply the layout changes and update the status across all selected jobs.

✅ Benefits of Using the Create Layout Feature

  • Faster Production Management: Handle multiple jobs at once.

  • Improved Accuracy: See all associated line items before submitting.
